Telecommunications giant AT&T said Tuesday that it would sell a portion of its Japanese operations to Internet Initiative Japan Inc. for $100 million.
The unit, which focuses mostly on outsourcing services, includes 1,600 Japanese business customers and has 250 employees.
AT&T said it would continue the rest of its Japanese business segments, including its network infrastructure, hosting, mobile enterprise applications, cloud computing, security and other operations.
